The coastal pedestrian street that leads to the Port of Kavala is one of the most beautiful walks of the city. Walk by foot or using the municipal bikes.<\/p>\n

Path of Kavala Trail<\/div>
One of the most beautiful hiking trails worth seeing is the environmental path of Old Kavala. It is located along the village’s stream and covers a distance of about 3 km, just off the road of Zygos – Old Kavala.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Perennial forest<\/div>
The peri-urban forest of Kavala is located on the northern side of the city and extends from Aghios Silas and Constantia Boarding House to the area of Chorafa and Aghios Athanasios. Beyond its aesthetics and environmental benefits, it offers city residents the ability to easily and quickly access sports and relaxation areas.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
Ancient Via Egnatia <\/div>
<\/p>\n

The city of Kavala is fortunate to maintain a large section of the ancient Via Egnatia on its outskirts. It is the old cobbled road, which, until the beginning of the 20th century, was the main road connecting Neapolis (the oldest name of Kavala) with the ancient city of Philippi. The route is of great historical and cultural importance.<\/p>\n
